Join us for the Carbondale Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run and 1 Mile Fun Run on Thursday, November 28th. This family-friendly event is perfect for all ages and fitness levels.

Race Details:

Start Time: 9:30 AM
Location: Carbondale Recreation Center
Cost: Adults (18-61) $15/$20, Youth (2-17) & Older Adults (62+) $7/$10 (pre-registration/race day)
Registration: Register online or in person at the Carbondale Rec Front Desk (Wed, Nov 27, 6 AM-5 PM)
Course: Choose from a 1-mile or 5K course. Maps available online.
Prizes: Awards for top finishers in various age groups, including a grand prize "Staycation" at the Redstone Inn and Avalanche Ranch Hot Springs passes.
Additional Information:

Costumes: We encourage festive costumes to add to the fun!
Leashed dogs: Welcome, but please keep them away from registration areas, food areas, and timing systems.
Tee shirts: Available for purchase ($40), with proceeds benefiting Shop with a Cop.

Head to Redstone the Saturday after Thanksgiving and kick off the holiday season at Redstone's Annual Grand Illumination!

Santa will begin the night's festivities at Propaganda Pie at 5pm. Follow Santa down the Boulevard as he lights the tree by the Park and continues to the Redstone Inn’s lower parking lot to warm up by the bonfire. The Redstone Inn will be transformed into Santa’s workshop complete with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and his elves! Santa will be in his Workshop located in the fitness center by the pool at the Redstone Inn to visit with kids and hear their Christmas wishes.

Redstone Trading Station (5:20-5:30PM)
Redstone General Store (5:35-5:50PM)
Bonfire is lit in lower parking lot of the Inn at 5:55PM
Santa's workshop will be open behind the Inn from 6:15 - 7:30PM

An adult only holiday shopping event with live music, food & beautiful handmade gifts from over a dozen local vendors & the WSRF Store! Shop local handmade beeswax candles, handmade spoons and woodwork, handmade clay work & so much more!

Join Santa at Weant Blvd & Main Street at 5:30pm to Light Up the Forest Service tree and Main Street tree lights. Holiday festivities continue at 4th & Main Street. Free hot cocoa provided by Town of Carbondale, and sugar cookies courtesy of Alpine Bank, (while supplies last).

Free sleigh rides with Santa 5:45pm - 7:45pm (line up at 4th & Main street).
The Launchpad will be open for the Deck the Walls holiday market in the Carbondale Arts Gallery until 7pm with live performances by Roaring Fork Youth Orchestra.

All proceeds raised will directly benefit every facet of CCC, including our Artist Residency Program, Gallery & Exhibitions, Educational Ceramic Classes, Community Outreach, Kids Programming, and more.
