Each month, a family-friendly community celebration happens with a wide range of local arts, galleries, shopping, award-winning restaurants and spirits, live music and entertainment. First Friday takes place in the heart of the Carbondale Creative District and historic downtown core.

Main Street businesses open their doors with extended hours and special offerings; local businesses and organizations host booths, games or activities. Locals and visitors alike generate community spirit on streets closed to traffic to create an expanded promenade feel.
